Moore's Bakery is a Kerrisdale institution, with a very loyal clientele.
The Bakery is owned and operated by the Kroondyk family. Archie Kroondyk and his son, Rob, start baking everything sold in the store at 3am. Lorelei Kroondyk and her daughter, Sarah, can usually be seen behind the counter taking orders, greeting customers by name, and ensuring nobody is left unattended. It seems like every kid who grew up in Kerrisdale either worked, or knows someone who worked, at Moore's during high school.
Moore's has something for every occasion, including pastries, cookies, baked goods, and breads, with an array of seasonally-inspired items. What really separates Moore's from the rest are the delicious Copenhagens and other Dutch-inspired goods. We spend most of our pocket money, though, on the lemon bars and the chocolate dipped shortbread cookies.
The bakery also has a deli counter, which offers freshly prepared sandwiches and hot soup.
